On this episode, we visit the Smith Blackburn Homestead. Just east of Elk Island National Park, in Lamont County, lies the Smith Blackburn Homestead. The Homestead, situated within the Beaver Hills UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a Dark Sky Reserve, boasts 73 acres of wetlands and upland forest.  This land was donated to Edmonton and Area Land Trust (or EALT) in 2018, to ensure its conservation.  And with their careful stewardship, it is now a place you can visit.
